We are really pleased with the illustrations from Simon. In fact our Artistic Director saw the draft brochure with the illustrations this week, and said the following in her email: “This is such a beautiful brochure! Quite stunning artwork and absolutely wonderful design overall. Bravo to all of you for making the visual work match the artistic idea behind the season so well. In my 20+ years in this industry I haven’t experienced anything quite this powerful.”

WIA2023 Shortlist Announced!
The AOI, in partnership with the Directory of Illustration, is delighted to announce the 200 projects that have been shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2023. The shortlist has been selected from over 5,000 entries from 84 countries following a rigorous and competitive judging process.
The Shortlist presents some of the most exciting illustration work from around the world. It is an important way for commissioners to discover quality illustrators and a celebration of the illustration industry.
All shortlisted projects are in contention to win, and on 12 September, the Category Winning and Highly Commended projects in each category will be announced online in an invite-only live broadcast event. Two Overall Winners, to be announced by a Special Guest, will win cash prizes.
