great to be shortlisted for the second time for the world illustration awards in the editorial category with this piece for the international new york times on war and the refugee crisis – back when people cared about refugees and didn’t just treat them as immigrants coming over from europe. nigel farage changed all that and simultaneously fucked this country up for years to come along with the rest of the bigots who voted for Brexit. i hope it comes back to haunt them.

In this portrayal I tried to show the fragility of the human condition in the face of this terror and cruelty.
