The commission is for a book called Surfacing which is a memoir from Kate Rew, the president of the outdoor swimming society, about the healing power of open water swimming. 

We’d be looking for a cover illustration from Simon that is a really rich and expressive nature-scape, to transport readers inside the crashing waves and the churning of the open sky as the author swims – and I think his amazing illustration style will make this book stand out from some of the softer more twee nature memoirs in the market. I’ve got more specific details to pass on if he’s keen.
